Welcome to the 91st SergeantHere are your General Orders
The following General Orders assign responsibility and accountability to all and lead the 91st and its Members to Credibility in the community
Software piracy is a worldwide problem. More than $10 billion is lost to piracy every year. Because software is valuable, and it is easy to create and distribute an exact copy of a program, software piracy is widespread throughout the world.
Software piracy is the unauthorized copying or distribution of copyrighted software. This can be done by copying, downloading, sharing, selling, or installing multiple copies onto personal or work computers. What a lot of people don't realize or don't think about is that when you purchase software, you are actually purchasing a license to use it, not the actual software. That license is what tells you how many times you can install the software, so it's important to read it. If you make more copies of the software than the license permits, you are pirating.
The illegal copying of software programs is a serious crime! In the United States, Canada and most other countries, copyright law provides for severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copyrighted material. Copyrighted material includes, but is not limited to, computer programs and accompanying software, images and text not released as freeware. As an example, under U.S. and Canadian law, infringement may result in civil damages of up to $150,000 and/or criminal penalties of up to five years imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.
The 91st stands firmly against software piracy
